Technology transfers to developing countries and personnel training are indispensable for bridging the digital divide in international society.
In response to requests from governmental agencies, international organizations, and private companies, the KDDI Foundation plans and provides technical training in areas such as telecommunications technologies, the operation and management of telecommunications infrastructure, and telecommunications business management and strategy. The training is intended primarily for training participants from developing countries.
KDD (Kokusai Denshin Denwa Co., Ltd.) accepted overseas training participants for the first time in 1962.* Carrying on this tradition, the KDDI Foundation continues to invest in the future by training personnel who will contribute to economic growth in developing countries.
* From 1962 until now, more than 5,000 training participants from about 140 countries have attended training courses offered by the KDDI Group.
