The KDDI Foundation contributes to the healthy development of society through a number of ongoing activities.
Donation of schools in Cambodia
Continuing a program started by KEC in 2004, the KDDI Foundation donates funds for the construction of schools in Cambodia.
Every year, the Foundation sponsors a charity concert, and donates ticket proceeds and contributions to build schools and improve the educational environment for the children who represent the future of Cambodia. In addition to the school buildings, the Foundation provides personal computers, power generation equipment, and network equipment, so that the children can be connected to the world via the Internet, gaining a wider perspective on the future.
Telecommunications support for Japanese and international relief organizations
There are still many in the developing countries who live in poverty, without even knowing whether they will have enough to eat. The KDDI Foundation supports volunteer relief organizations working in these countries by providing telecommunications equipment and operating assistance.
